Part of my First Steps mini collection, Favorite Morning Walk was inspired by clouds over a coastal walk through Lincoln Park, along the Puget Sound.
For the First Steps mini collection, I aimed to use a limited color palette consisting of hues loosely representing the sky and earth. The paintings are an interpretation of landscapes from places I've been across Washington consisting of memories of how it felt to be there, often aided by a snap I took at each spot for referencing shapes and patterns.

Watercolor on 100 percent cotton paper, varnished and mounted to wood panel cradle with acrylic medium
Signed on the front with painting details written on the back of the cradle
