Commissioned art pieces are some of my favorite paintings to create. I enjoy the collaborative process and I am honored each time I am asked to create a one-of-a-kind piece of commissioned art.
I create commissioned art with watercolor painted onto Arches 100% cotton watercolor paper and finished with wax medium or UV fixative spray to protect the paint.
The painting is then secured to a wood cradle with acrylic medium. The wood cradle will come ready-to-hang.

Commissioned Art Process
I want my clients to be as happy as possible with the unique commissioned art pieces I create with them. My process generally takes an average of 6 weeks.
For landscape commissions, all I require is one to three reference photos.
For abstract works, we will begin with a discussion of where the piece will be located in your home, the size and scale that will work best in the space, and the mood you want to convey with the artwork.
Based on that information, I will create a color palette and some initial sketches to communicate my interpretation of your request. We will continue this process until we agree on a design that will light up your walls and then I will create the final commissioned art piece.
